Sow. Cultivate. Bloom.

An online journal of an uprooted life.

This began as a way to chronicle uprooting from Seattle to Costa Rica in search of my educational utopia. Trained in my undergrad years as a journalist, writing meant reporting facts. Having a flair for journaling and journalism don’t exactly jive so I began to write my Life into being for my own sake.

And oohhh boy, do I need a good editor. And a story map. And preferably, an illustrator.

I’ve been an educator, loud mouth, environmental activist, farmer, artist, barista, tried my hand at burlesque dancing for a hot minute, jazz singer and writer.

This space is dedicated to one of my first and longest loves, teaching. Enjoy.
